The Bordeaux vineyards enjoy worldwide renown. They offer a wide range of wines, from branded wines to château wines, as well as world-famous grands crus.

Located in south-west France, the Bordeaux vineyards cover 110,000 hectares. They are shaped by a temperate oceanic climate and by the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. Their wines carry the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), which imposes strict specifications on how they are made. The main grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the region produces red, white, rosé and sparkling wines. Bordeaux has 65 appellations in all, and “Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur” alone account for 44% of annual volumes.
